24 hr. Advanced Topics Oil Spill Strategies & Tactics (High Currents and Rivers)

This 3-day course is designed challenge the responder in high currents and rivers to provide field training in developing oil spill response strategies and tactical operations. Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and adjourns at 5:00 p.m.This course is designed to provide field training in developing oil spill response strategies and tactical operations. This course is primarily a "hands-on" course involving aquatic drone, boats, trailering and launching boats, deployment and recovery of floating oil spill containment booms, booming exercises, and equipment cleanup, maintenance, and storage. Appropriate personal safety equipment including personal flotation devices will also be used.Cancellation Policy: The NSCS has a cancellation fee of 25%.
