Oil Spill Courses

This is a 5-day course that is taught in the classroom and downtown Corpus Christi Marina. This hands-on training involves response techniques for oil spills in ports and harbors, rivers, canals, and open waters.

This Advanced Night Course is designed to challenge the professional responder in difficult field training exercises applying oil spill response strategies and tactics.

Class begins at 4:00 p.m. and adjourns at midnight.

Prerequisite:  Student must already have taken 40-Hour Marine Oil Spill Reponse with NSCS. Certification required.

This 3-day course is designed to challenge the responder in high currents and river environments.
Field training in developing oil spill response strategies and tactical operations will use aquatic drone and response boats.

Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and adjourns at 5:00 p.m.

 

Registration Deadline: Sept. 14. (3 weeks prior to scheduled course)
A registration deadline must be set for this class to be sure time is allowed for registered students to apply for security clearance.
Also, a minimum of 20 students must register for this class; so be sure to get your entire team to sign up.
If the number of registered students isn't 20 or more on Sept. 14, 2026 (3 weeks prior to course date) it will be postponed to a later date.
